How do I contribute?

There are two ways. We’re looking for writers/photographers to contribute to this site, and we’re looking for the best internet resources out there on travel in Bangladesh.

Head over to our resources page and if you have any suggestions or questions, please do let us know and we’ll do our best to answer your questions.

I’m a writer!

Have you got a Bangladesh story to tell? Then let us know. We welcome contributions to this site, whether they be travel tips, interesting web links, narratives, crazy anecdotes, photographs or even videos—Bangladesh has it all, but there certainly isn’t much on the internet yet!

I’m a photographer!

We’re interested in putting together the best photography we can get on Bangladesh and publishing a book as a result of the work. The project is open to all photographers—if you’d like us to help you promote your work, please get in contact with us or join us as we research the country.

Some guidelines:

1. Do your homework: Please take a moment to read the About section of the website and peruse a few previously published articles. The amount of would-be writers/photographers who send material without reading the guidelines first is absolutely staggering.
2. Put your best foot forward: We are looking for quality content—please send us material that enlightens, enlivens or emboldens the Bangladesh travel experience. Do your best to stay away from stereotypes, as Bangladesh is all about the alternative travel experience.
3. Keep it brief: The web audience is an impatient one, nowadays. Articles should be under 750 words, and ideally less than 500. We will consider longer features, but please send us an outline of your idea first.

What about payment?

• At the outset, Joybangla.info cannot offer any payment in return for articles. However, all contributions will be recognized in the upcoming guidebook. (Believe us, the authors aren’t getting paid much either!)
• We will be searching for some sponsorship opportunities as our audience builds, but as you can imagine even the Bangladesh government spends a paltry amount on the promotion of Bangladesh tourism! Hopefully that will change.
