Resources

Are you planning a visit to Bangladesh or a long-term stay? This page should be a point of reference for you.

At this page we will gradually accumulate a list of resources and knowledge on what you should do to prepare for a visit to Bangladesh.

Internet Resources

Right now, our first resource to present to you is some Internet reading on preparing for your visit to Bangladesh—you should learn as much about the country as you can before you come. Why bother trawling the internet yourself? Have a look out our database of links of interest at del.icio.us.

We highly recommend this easy-to-use social bookmarking service as a way of logging all the useful resources you find on the internet.

Can I contribute?
Most certainly! First, sign up for Del.icio.us account and then tag any web links you find with the “joybangla.info” tag. Your link will automatically be added to our growing database of web resources.

Facebook group
Information is hard to come by in Bangladesh, especially the kind of information related to travel. We’ve created a networking group to stay in touch with photographers, contacts, people living here and really, anybody who is interested in improving the experience of being in Bangladesh. Check us out there and we’ll help you get hooked up with other people!

I think for pictures, you should use Flickr or Picasa. Both these provides an easy interface to group and organize photos. You can also link the photos from FaceBook and create appropriate messages to attract users within/outside Flickr or Picasa.
